Indoor Navigation This project is started to improve the existing shopping experience by providing more fun using mobile technologies. We focused on 'indoor navigation' and brought 'Visible Lighting Communication' in order to overcome known limitations of existing solutions - large error bound and unstable wave strength. VLC technology is on the eve of completion and the service is being enhanced with field tests. Lighting Coupon Each LED light bulb installed on ceiling is working as a 'LED Tag' having an unique ID. It does not only transfers locating information but also detail information of discounting product at the same time. This interaction via lighting is important and valuable since it can contribute to replace existing fluorescent light bulbs into LED which is better for the environment. Visible Light Communication (VLC) VLC is transferring data through visible lights which is flickering very fast in the speed of people cannot recognize. It makes possible to implement location-based interaction by analyzing signals from the imaging sensor of the receiving unit. Using image sensor has a definite advantage over the photo-diode which is only getting the strength of the light because it enhance the accuracy by receiving signals simultaneously in multiple pixels even it is from a long distance. A Future of VLC VLC is accepted as one of the innovative technologies to change the future and the international standard is establishing. It is much anticipated to replace radio wave communication which is nearly saturated as well as to have a positive influence of LED lighting on the environment.This project is demonstrated in 'E-mart Garden Five' for some days with ETRI (Electronics and Telecommunications Research Institute) and Yuyang DNU.
