Does Your Email Help or Hurt? #JayToday

Episode 47 Is every email you send helping your brand image or hurting it? In a recent Social Pros Podcast interview with Scott Stratten (http://www.convinceandconvert.com/social-pros-podcast/social-media-is-not-your-problem/), we discussed the idea of a "brand pulse," which says that you are never neutral about a brand - you always have some level of negativity of positivity in your mind. Now that it's so easy to press "send" to tens or hundreds or thousands of fans, it's more important than ever to really think and consider whether or not your emails are increasing your audience's love of your brand or not. And if you're not sure, chances are you're not. Nothing is Ever Dead - #JayToday

EPISODE 49 If you ever see a headline that says that something is dead, walk away immediately. I recently saw a LinkedIn article that staked the claim that content marketing is dead. Content marketing has been around for hundreds of years. There's no way it's dead. But what bothered me about this is that this article has gotten over 13,000 views. So, did the author do this for attention? Or does he really believe that content marketing is actually dead? Here's the truth: Nothing ever dies. It just changes. So if you're listening to something, watching something, or reading something that says "X Is Dead," run for the hills. To say that something is dead is a lazy and irresponsible way to get attention. Don't do it.
