Microsoft's Windows Phone Ads Mocking The iPhone Go Private...Because They Were Terrible

You just couldn't resist after landing one punch, could ya Microsoft? Only a few days after skewering Apple on Twitter during the unveiling of their new iPhones, Microsoft and Windows Phone took another swing at Apple with a a series of commercials released on YouTube early Tuesday. This time things didn't go as well however. Before Tuesday had even ended, Microsoft had already gone ahead and made the videos private after a slew of terrible feedback. Those who have seen the video can certainly understand why. One titled "A fly on the wall in Cupertino?," depicts a hypothetical meeting on the new iPhones with two fake Apple employees, and two mysterious figures we can assume are Apple CEO Tim Cook and Senior Vice President of Design Jony Ive. At one point in the video, the two fake Apple employees refer to the man as "T" or Tim. It's only made more awkward by the fact that from the back this person looks eerily like Steve Jobs. The conversation pokes fun at Apple's rumored iWatch, colors of the new iPhones and lack of innovation. The Next Web received word from Microsoft that "The video was intended to be a light-hearted poke at our friends from Cupertino. But it was off the mark, and we've decided to pull it down.
