EU May Quietly Raise Minimum Age for Facebook, Other Social Networks to 16

Facebook’s minimum age of 13 could be bumped up to 16 in European Union countries. The Telegraph reported that a last-minute change to EU data-protection laws would force users under the age of 16 to obtain parental consent prior to creating social media accounts. Instagram, Twitter, Snapchat and Google currently have age minimums of 13, as well.Read the full article
