Felix Baumgartner's supersonic freefall from 128k' - Mission Highlights

For more adventure visit Song: After flying to an altitude of 39,045 meters (128,100 feet) in a helium-filled balloon, Felix Baumgartner completed a record breaking jump for the ages from the edge of space, exactly 65 years after Chuck Yeager first broke the sound barrier flying in an experimental rocket-powered airplane. Felix reached a maximum of speed of 1,357.6 km/h or 843.6 mph(Mach 1.25) through the near vacuum of the stratosphere before being slowed by the atmosphere later during his 4:20 minute long freefall. The 43-year-old Austrian skydiving expert also broke two other world records (highest freefall, highest manned balloon flight), leaving the one for the longest freefall to project mentor Col. Joe Kittinger. Watch the Full Recap: ___________________________________________________________ Experience the world of Red Bull like you have never seen it before. Wagon Wheels successfully relaunched... into history!

On December 3, 2010 Wagonaut Kim Hollian pressed the launch button that sent our delicious payload of Wagon Wheels into space (or thereabouts).

Project Space Planes - In October 2010, we will attempt something never attempted before. We're going to let 100 paper planes fly into the outer atmosphere, 30,000 metres above the earth. Each plane will carry a message on a Samsung SD memory card. You can upload anything you like to one of the planes via the website... words, pictures, video, music... anything that fits onto a memory card. If you find one of these planes, let us know and we'll get you hooked up with the sender for some record-breaking fun!
