You’ve heard of millennials, but have you heard of Gen C? They are on Facebook; they are watching YouTube videos; they are networking with their online communities. Google Think dubs this Gen C, a “powerful new force in consumer culture … people who care deeply about creation, curation, connection, and community.” While Google states it’s not an age group, it does say that 80% are millennials.
There are three basic ways in which you can utilize hashtags in marketing. These are, brand promotion, to capitalize on something that is trending, and to rally people around an idea. Some hashtag marketing campaigns only focus on one of these elements. Others focus on two or even all three uses. When hashtag marketing works, it can work beautifully.
You get it. Content marketing is a great way to develop customer relationships, increase brand awareness and target your audience with precision. You’ve given it a go for a while, with some decent results. Now what? You know by now that content marketing isn’t static. Things are always changing.
