This February, CSTO’s Teen Center launched a 12-week program called CEOs (Career & Entrepreneurship Opportunities) with a focus on career skills, financial literacy, and basic business skills. Teen Center Summer Programs This summer, the Castle Square Teen Center ran several different programs for high school students, and explored exciting new partnerships with two other community organizations With youth from IBA-Cacique at Villa Victoria, youth from Castle Square participated in CSTO’s innovative cell phone App Inventor course, learning to make their own apps.
Middle School Summer Program The past summer, middle schoolers created videos in CSTO staff Jared Katsiane’s video production workshops. As filmmaking is the most collaborative art, students were able to rotate or divide roles as director, writer, cinematographer (that’s fancy for camera operator!), actor/actress, and editor. Student Christian Robles served as music editor for all groups.
