If you have a business with offices in different towns, or if you are a service provider who services a geographic range, you want to optimize your website for each specific location. To Begin: Create a page for each area where you are located or your service area. Put the town in the URL and on the header of the page.
I bet you have heard it before: you need to capture emails from your blog visitors. It is the most effective way to implement your marketing plan. For many of us bloggers, 80% of visitors pop by once and never return. Getting their email address is the best way to develop a relationship with that person and win them over to customer status.
It is a basic fact. Each page on your website should have a purpose. Generally you want a website visitor to DO SOMETHING as a result of visiting your page. Don't be arrogant enough to say, well a user can find our phone number in the footer if they need to call. Your website exists to solve people's problems. Tell them what you can do and lead them to doing it.
HubSpot is a terrific platform which is designed with the purpose of driving people to your website, generating leads and converting those leads into paying customers. It has been wildly successful for people such as Marcus Sheridan of the Sales Lion and my friends over at Goodbye Crutches, but it isn't perfect (nothing is) and for many, the price tag can be daunting.
