Over 30 advertisers have been confirmed as Super Bowl in-game national advertisers (as well as several advertisers who are targeting only certain DMAs). These brands range from Super Bowl regulars like Budweiser and Doritos to relative newcomers like McDonald’s (which has favored pre-game advertising in recent years) and Loctite, the makers of Super Glue.
Last night, President Obama gave his annual State of the Union address to both houses of Congress. While he was at the podium, 1,483,989 Tweets used the #SOTU or #SOTU2015 hashtags or mentioned the president. Mentions per minute peaked at 7:08 PST at nearly 45,000 fuelled by near-simultaneous Tweets by @WhiteHouse and @BarackObama in the minutes before. Retweet if you agree: #LoveIsLove.

Keeping an audience engaged is as integral to a successful social media strategy as growing the size of your audience. Taco Bell is an expert at keeping its finger on the pulse of its audience.
