In the eyes of some people, some social media platforms are simply more valuable or more useful than others. This is both from the perspective of the creator and from the perspective of the consumer. You might think that, as an Internet marketer, you might have more to learn by following the right people on Twitter or by liking the right pages on Facebook.
What separates a beginner YouTube channel from a highly successful one? Is it the camera, the cinematography or the advanced video editing techniques? While that equipment and those skills can certainly play in your favor, they are hardly the most important aspects of what it takes to be successful on YouTube.

In part 1, we covered many of the fundamentals required to set the foundation like writing a business plan, accounting, company website, and networking. Now we’ll be looking at factors like marketing, customer retention, and scheduling reports to ensure everything goes smoothly.

When first planning to launch a new web site or blog for profit, it’s important to choose a topic or niche that you know is going to be in demand and have a good monetization play for months or even years to come. One niche market that is flush with business opportunities and is making money every second of the day is personal and business finance.
Over the past few months, I’ve talked extensively about the importance of auditing your website. With all the recent Google updates, having a solid auditing plan is very important to keep your website from being banned. For example, running a quick audit will tell you what dead pages you have and if there is duplicate content floating around without your knowledge.

The best way to create a steady stream of passive income from your blog is to start selling digital products. Every few weeks, I like to jump online and find trending content ideas for my readers. I know with competition being so high, it’s important I stay ahead of the trend to ensure things go as smoothly as possible. If I stop producing the type of content my readers are looking for, I’ll have a hard time increasing my brand and building customer loyalty.

A term that I see getting thrown around on an increasingly frequent basis, especially among all my other self-employed friends, is “serial entrepreneur.” You’ve probably seen it in the context of Internet marketing, dot com startups, and other related industries. The idea is that this person, this professional is not necessarily married to any one job or any one company.
If you are a beginner with online marketing, or what some would call a “rookie,” it can be frustrating if you’re not making money yet. I know how you feel, because it was that long ago when I was right there. I was broke, living with my parents, but I was determined to be successful no matter what.
I’m a firm believer in that success should be rewarded and recognized. Many of the companies I associate with believe in the same thing. A great example is how MOBE rewards their top affiliates. It’s not enough that MOBE already offers the highest payout in the industry, but they also have additional rewards for top affiliates.
Over the years, many people are writing about link building strategies both good and bad. It’s no secret the Internet can make you a lot of money and those on the first page of Google generate enormous money through ads and selling products. However, this has led to many people taking part in manipulative link building strategies against Google’s guidelines.
Running a business takes a lot more than just brains because it’s a complete lifestyle. After reading on some of the most successful people, they have tweaked their lifestyle to enhance productivity. A few months back, I read a book by Napoleon Hill called Think and Grow Rich, based on how success comes from your mind frame.
Content is king. This most certainly is not the first time that I’ve mentioned this truism on the blog and it probably won’t be the last time either. It’s holds up regardless of what kind of content you want to publish on the web, whether that’s with a blog, a vlog, or on social media. Pump out quality content on a consistent basis and that will serve as a strong foundation for ...

My buddy and fellow Californian, Steven Bransfield has just launched his new Rookie Profit System. It’s a great name too because the system is designed for internet rookies or people new to internet marketing. I met Steven a little over two years ago at a Mastermind in the Dominican Republic. Steven was a total Rookie back then.

The rise of social media has introduced incredible ways for you to connect with audiences all around the world. As fewer people read physical magazines and more people are cutting cable TV out of their lives, brands are also having a harder time reaching their target audiences, especially among younger demographics.
Everyone has different goals in life. Some people want to be right in the middle of the action, so they might aspire to own a luxury apartment in the heart of midtown Manhattan. Other people prefer the quiet and solitude of the country, so they may yearn for a cabin in the woods. One goal is not objectively any better or worse than the other. It’s simply a matter of personal preference.
If it ain’t broke, don’t fix it. While it is absolutely true that everyone’s journey is going to be decidedly different and no two paths are going to be identical, it just makes intuitive sense to derive inspiration from those who came before you. And with the power of the Internet, it’s easier than ever to spy on your competition (and your idols) to see what’s working for them (and what’s not).
I get it. Maybe you want to be a hugely successful blogger in your niche. Maybe you want to be behind one of the most popular channels on YouTube. Maybe you want to start a podcast that skyrockets to the top of the iTunes charts. Maybe you dream of fame and fortune and all the glories that come with the territory. But you have humble means, a humble budget, and decidedly humble equipment.
