The New York City Department of Information Technology and Telecommunications (DoITT) is the city agency that "oversees the City's use of existing and emerging technologies in government operations, and its delivery of services to the public". Although the agency is often viewed as a facilitator for the technology needs of other New York City agencies, today, DoITT is best known for its two public-facing operations, NYC Media Group (NYCTV) and the 3-1-1 "Citizens' Hotline" - both established in 2003 by New York City Mayor Michael Bloomberg.
